School Board
The Jordan Board of Education acts as a link between the school district and the public. It also sets policy for the school district. The School Board is made up of seven district residents.
School Board Meetings
School Board Meetings are the 2nd Monday beginning at 6:30pm and the 4th Monday beginning at 5:30 pm of each month (unless otherwise noted) in the multipurpose room of the Jordan Community Education and Recreation Center (CERC). All meetings are open to the public.
The public are encouraged to view school board meetings online. Tune in on the date and time for a scheduled board meeting to view live on our school board YouTube channel. In case you missed a meeting, you can visit our YouTube school board page for archived videos (live videos are viewable after 24 hours).

Addressing the School Board at a Meeting
Citizens must complete the ‘Request to Address the School Board’ form, which must be submitted in person or email to the School District Clerk, or other designee, by noon the day of the School Board meeting. The form may be dropped off at the District Office at 500 Sunset Drive, Jordan, MN 55352 or emailed to jpspubliccomment@isd717.org.
During the public comment part of each regular board meeting, up to 30 minutes of time will be allowed for district constituents to address the board. Each person may have up to 3 minutes of time to speak. The board is here to listen only and will not take action or discuss topics brought forward during the open forum. It may, at its discretion, ask questions for clarification of issues. The board may, if it deems appropriate, bring said issues forward at a subsequent meeting.
